Lodges, Reimagined Through the Lens

Find out more

Styled to Feel Lived-In

Before a single frame is taken, I style each space to feel effortlessly lived-in — a throw softened just so, light poured across a table, the quiet sense that someone wonderful has just stepped out of the room. My approach is to capture a lodge as an experience, exactly the way it needs to look to draw guests in and make a space impossible to scroll past.

Capturing the Experience, Not Just the Room

I photograph the way a stay actually feels — the golden hour spilling over a deck, the ritual of a sundowner, a table set for a slow evening. Every frame is composed to tell your property's story and work hard across your website, socials and marketing, turning quiet interest into confident bookings.

Where a Stay Becomes a Story

A great lodge sells a feeling long before it sells a room. My work begins there — in the hush of arrival, the warmth of a lamp-lit interior, the way a space seems to breathe. Photographed across the Lowveld, Hoedspruit and beyond, these are the images that let a guest fall in love before they ever check in.

Rooms That Ask You to Stay a While

Morning light spilling across linen, a four-poster framed by the bush, a chair turned just so toward the view. I photograph guest suites the way they are meant to be lived in — unhurried, sensory and quietly luxurious — so every room reads as an invitation to slow down and stay a little longer.

    The Language of the Table

Hospitality is spoken most fluently at the table. A signature cocktail catching the last of the light, plating that deserves its close-up, a breakfast laid out beneath the trees — I shoot food and drink with the same care your chefs pour into it, capturing texture, colour and craving in a single frame.

    Beyond the Threshold

The luxury of a lodge lives as much outside its walls as within them. Sundowners as the sky turns to fire, a boma glowing under the stars, the electric moment an animal meets the lens — I photograph the whole experience, so guests can feel the wild calling to them before they have even booked.

    Architecture at Its Most Cinematic

From intimate bush lodges to landmark destinations like Sun City, great hospitality is also great architecture. I read a building the way a guest does — the sweep of a staircase, light pouring through a dome, the drama of a facade at dusk — turning bricks and mortar into spaces people long to walk into.

    Lodges I've Photographed

Lodges I've photographed include Umvangati, Hamiltons Tented Camp, Hoyo Hoyo Safari Lodge, Imbali Safari Lodge and Jackals Dream Lodge — so I know exactly how hospitality is sold, and how to shoot it.

    Shot for the Light

Every shoot is timed to golden hour and styled with intention, so interiors, food and landscapes look their most seductive.
